Meteorite Talon Lock Necklace

Meteorite Talon Lock Necklace

$425.00

A fragment of the Nantan meteorite, fallen over Guangxi, China in 1516 during the Ming Dynasty, set in a hand-sculpted brass talon frame cast using the lost wax technique. The stone is left entirely in its natural form: uncut, unpolished, with the rough dark surface it acquired traveling through the atmosphere. The faint iron oxidation visible on the reverse is a reminder of what it is — metal from space, older than recorded history. One of a kind.

Heavy gold fill mixed link chain, 16 inches, with gold fill front-facing carabiner clasp.

Gold fill chain is tarnish-resistant and built to last. Brass pendant is subject to natural oxidation over time. Use a sunshine polishing cloth to brighten. Avoid wearing in the ocean or saltwater.

This piece is one-of-a-kind and cannot be recreated.

Made in Los Angeles by Miranda Hope.
